Festival of Freedom: A Celebration of Ukraine’s Independence
Join us on Saturday, August 16, 2025, for a joyful cultural celebration honoring Ukraine’s Independence Day—a tribute to freedom, dignity, and the unbreakable spirit of the Ukrainian people.
Organized by Alabama United Hearts for Ukraine, this vibrant community event will feature a concert program filled with live folk music, dance, poetry, and authentic Ukrainian cuisine.
Event Program Includes:
– Ukrainian folk music performances
– Traditional dance and poetry readings
– Homemade baked goods and Ukrainian national dishes
– Souvenirs and handcrafted cultural items available for purchase
Admission is free. Street parking is available nearby. All proceeds from food and souvenir sales, as well as donations, will go toward supporting Ukraine.

Viktoriia Honcharuk – Combat Medic of the Hospitallers Medical Battalion, evacuating injured soldiers for over two years. Incoming Harvard MS student, working on innovations for frontline needs.

Alabama United Hearts for Ukraine invites you to join us in commemorating the three-year anniversary of the full-scale war in Ukraine. The event, titled “Three Years Defiant, Three Years Resilient,” will take place at Railroad Park. We will gather together to honor the bravery and resilience of the Ukrainian people during these challenging times.
